

She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer, showing her family how to both live and die with grace and dignity. “BB”, as she was affectionately known to those close to her, loved her family dearly, always putting the needs of others before herself. She was truly a selfless individual.
She is preceded in death by her parents James and Jessie Marable; brother James H. Marable and sister Frances Hall.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Lytle Brown III; son Dr. Lytle Brown, IV (Susan) of Knoxville; daughter Nancy Sparrow (Anthony) of Nashville; grandchildren, Lytle Brown, V, Scott Brown, Candace Brown, Barclay Sparrow and Abigail Sparrow; great-grandchildren, Lytle Brown, VI, Chandler Brown, Lilly Brown, Harrison Brown, Olivia Brown and Pamela Brown.
The family would like to thank Dr. Matthew Beuter and Dr. Anthony Meluch for their care and compassion. Also, grateful thanks to the staff of Alive Hospice.
