Betty Jean Fox

She was born on August 22, 1928, in Donelson, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jasper and Maggie Goodwin. She was an avid sports fan and would watch anything from nascar to hockey to golf. She was married to Mr. Elbridge Fox for 50 wonderful years until his passing in 1998. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Elbridge Fox.

She is survived by two sons, Elbridge “Houston” Fox and his wife, Sandra, and David Fox and his wife, Helen; 5 grandchildren, Wayne Fox, Bill Fox, Wesley Fox, Christy Patterson and Heather Holliman; 13 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 2:00 until 6:00 pm and on Monday, May 16, 2016 an hour prior to the service.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Keith Cameron officiating.

Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
