Betty was a proud graduate of Glencliff High School. She began her career working for the State of Tennessee before joining Joe Rogers Construction Company as a receptionist. She later became a saleswoman for Preston Lincoln Mercury, where she excelled until a back injury led to her early retirement.
Betty married the love of her life, Joseph Hudgins, and together they shared 59 beautiful years of marriage. She was blessed with a devoted daughter, Tammy Farley, whom she cherished deeply.
Despite living with severe pain, Betty dedicated her life to caring for others. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering love touched everyone who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hudgins, and her parents, Harold and Faye Cross.
Betty leaves behind her loving daughter, Tammy Farley; her sister, Brenda Cross (Richard McFarlane Jr.); and many other family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
