Bevelyn Lee Stewart was born on September 26, 1947, in Nashville, TN to Virginia Lee Stewart and Marvin Stewart, Sr. who preceded her in death. She was also blessed with a loving and devoted brother, Marvin Stewart, Jr. who also preceded her in death. Bevelyn made her home in a loving residence, where she lived alongside two devoted housemates who became her daily companions for the last 18 years. She enjoyed community outings, attending church, and spending time on the porch-simple pleasures that brought her peace and contentment. As her health declined, she embraced a more serene lifestyle, often resting in her recliner, watching television, and listening to music that soothed her spirit.
She passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, gentle presence, and the deep connections she formed with those who cared for her. Though she lived with significant disabilities and was non-verbal her presence was felt deeply. She will be remembered for the gentle way she moved through the world and for the love she inspired in all who knew her.
She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who hold her memory in their hearts. She also leaves behind a dedicated circle of nurses, caregivers, and support staff who lovingly cared for her. Their devotion provided her with comfort, stability, and a sense of family that surrounded her throughout her life.
