I'm sorry to have lost touch with my friend Billy. I feel like I knew him well for 10-15 years. He was one hornery guy, but thoughtful to a fault. Probably like anyone that knew him, I argued with him and had him yell at me but we always parted friends. We will all live slightly less full and colorful lives without you Billy! You are now with God and with your daughter.

I just learned of Billy's Passing. He was our Landlord for over 7 years. Mr. Potter was a Wonderful Man. He and Wendall Waller's Kindness to us when our facility flooded will never be forgotten. He was a hardball businessman, and yet, exceptionally fair. He gave us Great Advice, and many, many moments of levity. We traded insults with great humor and shared a love for total, absurd exaggeration.. there were evenings when he'd stop by, just to "shoot the breeze" with us. He was a Great Character. Billy was one of a kind and a very good man. While I never managed to do a deal on one of his buildings I sought his counsel one time on a complicated real estate business matter. His advice was spot on and helped me settle the matter in a pragmatic way. Billy was generous and thoughtful.

GOD enriched my life by allowing me to meet Billy at Metro Codes, as he was getting a building permit years ago. He was the toughest and most honest person I have ever met. I loved his stories about his buddy Pat Boone.

Some of the best memories are of Billy and I growing up across the road from each other and the many times we went camping by the creek at our place. Billy was a very special influence in my teen years. Rest in peace.

"He was a man, take him for all in all,
I shall not look upon his like again."

This is Hamlet speaking of his Father, the King. And speaking of our unique, dear friend, he will be remembered for a lifetime, but certainly can never be replaced.
