Bobby Frank Garrison, age 96, passed away on January 15, 2026 in Franklin, TN. He was born in Nashville, TN on September 7, 1929 and was preceded in death by his parents Lillard A. Garrison and Inez Marie Blair, brother Lillard Duval Garrison and sister June Marie Westfield. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Barbara H. Garrison, daughter Terri Argo (Steve), two grandchildren Olivia Jean Argo and Robert Ross Argo and several nieces and nephews.
He graduated from East Nashville High in Nashville, TN and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Manchester during the Korean War. He was a longtime member of the Madison Church of Christ Church in Madison, TN. Bobby served as Captain of the Metro Nashville Fire Department for 25 years and was a successful entrepreneur that owned and operated several Captain D’s franchises for over 40 years. He was a member of the Brentwood Shrine Golf Group; Cedar Creek Yacht Club; Scottish Rite Masons, Al Menah Shrine Temple and played trumpet in the Shrine band. Bobby was an avid golfer and fisherman and loved spending time with his family and friends.
A Celebration Of Life gathering will be on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at NHC Place Cool Springs, 211 Cool Springs Blvd., Franklin, TN 37067 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Community Room. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gigi‘s Playhouse Nashville, 1724 Carothers Parkway, Suite #400, Brentwood, TN 37027 or the Down syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee, 1310 Central Court, Hermitage, TN 37067.
