Willis "Bruce" Amos, age 80, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Bruce was born December 2, 1941 in Nashville, TN to the late, Wilson and Thelma Amos. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Lola Bodhaine and Clio Spencer.
Mr. Amos is survived by his wife, Susan S. Amos; children, Erin Brooke Amos, Devlin Amos (Tiffany) and Tracey Amos Sherrill; grandchildren, Preston Sherrill, Taylor Amos, Sadie Amos and Hudson Amos.
A native Nashvillian, Bruce was a retired Police Detective with Metro Nashville serving our community for 30 years. He was also a 4 year Air Force Veteran. He was a good friend, loving husband, father and pawpaw. He loved to hunt and fish. Bruce was a devout Christian and member of Tusculum Hills Baptist Church.
Gathering of Family and Friends for Bruce will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM. Burial will be on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 3:00 PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
