My heart will never be the same, Burton's daughter is my best friend and has been for over 50 years. Growing up my own father was absent so Burton stepped in as my Father figure from a Very early age. When he came to pick up Karen on the weekends he picked me up to. He always, always made me feel like I was his blond haired daughter. He loved me unconditionly, he taught me that anyone can be a "father" but it takes a special person to be a "daddy". I could not love him or Karen anymore if we were blood.
The last time I saw Burton and Dennis was when my husband was on tour in thier area, they came to the show and we had a blast!!!! The next morning they met us for breakfast. Burton told my husband about all of the things we did, told a story or two I had forgoten about but Burton had a grand time laughing and telling on me at the same time!
Burton had a convertible car and I loved it, today I own a convertible because of him and I love every minuite of it. Seldom can you say I have no bad memories at all about someone but All I have are good memories and for that I thank God. I thank God that when that little fair haired girl needed a daddy he was always there.
Karen and I are still bestfriends today, I thank God everyday that He gave me the gift of both Burton and Karen.....Dennis, you are in my prayers everyday, I love you and if there is ever anything I can do for you just ask....
I love you Karen, you are so much like your daddy and I am so proud of that, 4ever my sister.

It's still hard to believe and accept that I will never see Burton again.  

For over 25 years my association with Burton was through Dennis.  I recall housesitting Alexander, and all the wonderful life experiences and introductions both Burt and Dennis shared with me. I will cherish my fond memories always.

My heartfelt prayers are with Dennis and the Cloud family.

Dennis, it was always such fun to be with you and Burt. We had so many good times on our cruises and social events. Burt was sometimes naughty, always fun and a consumate gentleman. Our sincere condolences to you and your families. Pierre & Wolfie.

Enjoyed so much my friendship with Burton in the 70`s when we were active together in the Elks Lodge. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was dedicated to our Lodge. My sympathies go out to Dennis, Karen and all the family.

Burt has been part of my family as long as I can remember!  Dennis is like a father to me and Burt was right along with him, he always treated me as if I were a princess and even told me one time that I reminded him of Princess Caroline when I was just a little girl. haa haa.  He was a charming, caring, and exceptionl member of my family.  When Burt and Dennis came to town our entire family would light up and everyone would gather together (over 40 of us at times) and celebrate life as he was so good at doing!  No matter what we were doing, Burt would always make it seem as if though we were in a fairy tale of Happiness! He also had such a wise and caring way to set me aside at times when I needed guidance and he had a way of helping me see and find myself anytime I was having difficulty in my life growing up.  So, I am one blessed woman because I not only had a biological dad but I also had Burt and Dennis as my guardian angel dads!  I have no doubt that Burt will continue to guide me and find ways to continue to bless my life from his new permanent home!  I will look forward to the day when I will rejoyce again as I am reunited with Burt and all of my family that have gone before me to help prepare for my arrival.  ALL MY LOVE TO YOU BURT, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN!!

Burt had a great sense of humor. He did like a good joke. Dennis our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Andre and I met Burt about 20 years ago and have always been very fond of both he and Dennis.  We will dearly miss Burt and his caring, good-hearted ways and wonderful sense of humor.  Dennis, may our love and condolences help comfort you.

Burton hired me for my first job straight from college. 
I really enjoyed working with him. What a kind man!

Burt's warmth and friendliness will be sorely missed.

I will miss Burt, a friend in San Diego and the desert for many years.  Burt and Dennis were devoted to each other and my thoughts are with him. Loved talking to Burt.  A fine man.


Knew Burton at The Tennessean/Nashville Banner, he was missed from the time he moved away. Our condolence to his family and friends at this time.
