Carol Meiers Fike

Carol Meiers Fike passed away on August 22, 2020. She was born in Stillwater, OK on April 29, 1959. She is preceded in death by father Edward J. Meiers. She is survived by mother Margaret Meiers Wolf, husband Martin Fike, children Ellie Fike (Tyler) Thompson and Christopher Fike, siblings Lisa Meiers (Stuart) Smith, Joe (Michelle) Meiers, Mark Meiers and Amy Meiers, nephew Joseph Meiers and niece Maggie Meiers.

Carol graduated from St. Bernard Academy (1977) and TN Tech University (1981) and was a business owner.

She was a lifelong member of St. Ann Catholic Church and was devoted to her faith and family. She served in leadership roles with the Parish Council and the Altar Guild.

Her true joy was being a mother. She made many friends through the activities of her children Christopher and Ellie, supporting their schools, sports and interests through the years. From youth soccer games to high school swim team meets and hockey games, Carol was always her children’s #1 fan.

She was an avid reader and loved sharing books with others in her ‘readers circle’. She treasured her annual trip to Hilton Head Island, a tradition started more than 20 years ago with her children, mother and sister.

She loved hosting family gatherings for many occasions and was famous for her beautiful and epic Thanksgiving celebrations, always happy to add a chair or two for someone unable to be with their family on that day.

Recent years found her spending much time caregiving for an aunt and uncle who passed away in 2019.

“Pool Sundays” with friends & family was her favorite way to relax.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, August 25, 4 – 7 pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 26 at 10 am at St. Ann Catholic Church, with Rosary Service at 9:30 am, preceding the service.
