Carol Hyers Poole, born May 9, 1926, passed peacefully at home on September 19, 2015. She is survived by her immediate family; son, Jim, and daughter, Chris, together with granddaughters, Jessica Abbott and Ashley Beahm; her 6 great-grandchildren; Skyler, Makenna, Will Abbott and Carter, Grayson, Landen Beahm. She is also survived by a niece and nephew. Carol loved her family, her church, Hillwood Presbyterian, her friends, her neighbors and her needlework. In turn, she was loved by family and friends and will be remembered for her caring, wit and lust for life. Carol will be deeply missed. A memorial service for family and friends will be held for Carol on October 24, 2015, at Hillwood Presbyterian Church at eleven o'clock in the morning with visitation an hour prior. Those wishing to remember Carol through giving may donate to Hillwood Presbyterian Church or the Nashville Humane Association.
