Born on August 5, 1942, in Holyoke, MA, Carolyn spent her early years in Whately, MA. She graduated from Fitchburg State College and dedicated over three decades of her life to public service as a social worker with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health.
After retiring, Carolyn enjoyed living in several places including Hoover, AL; Alexandria, VA; and eventually Nolensville, TN, where she spent her final years surrounded by family.
She is survived by her sister, Marge Borowski of South Hadley, MA; her daughter, Corinne Wark, and son-in-law, Lawrence Wark of Nolensville, TN; her daughter-in-law, Lula Skowronek of Hoover, AL; her granddaughter, Emily Skowronek of Winston-Salem, NC; and her grandson, Walter Skowronek of New York, NY. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Craig Skowronek of Northampton, MA.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Mother Teresa Catholic Church, 7668 Nolensville Road, Nolensville, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carolyn’s memory to Best Friends Animal Society.
