

Cary Wayne Sims, age 72, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023, after a nine-month illness. He was born on September 26, 1951, and lived a remarkable life as a native Nashvillian. He graduated from Two Rivers High School in 1970 and then attended Middle Tennessee State University on a baseball scholarship. Later, he enlisted in the US Air National Guard and served for 6 years. Cary was very proud of the 30 plus years he worked as a salesman for Cone Solvents. Cary loved his family, photography, golf, football, working out, dancing, cars, and the beach. Cary enjoyed taking trips to Italy, Spain, France, and Hawaii with his wife, Karen, and family. Cary was a talented photographer. He took many memorable pictures during his lifetime. He was a wonderful man who will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.
Cary is survived by his wife of 31 years, Karen, by his parents Charles and Barbara, sisters Gwen (Dan) Crow, Barrie Smith, daughter Lanessa (Alex) Bueno, grandchildren Lucas and Nina, and brother-in-law Ronald Harrison.
