Cayley Kristin Freeman

Cayley Kristin Freeman, 55, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026 after ending her battle with cancer in a draw. Her strength and persistence continue even beyond her and are an inspiration to all who loved her.

She was born in Glendale, California on March 13, 1971. Cayley graduated from John A. Gupton College and received an associate’s degree in Mortuary Science. Cayley’s academic accomplishments remain a pinnacle of inspiration for her family, friends, and colleagues. Cayley took all challenges head-on—this was no exception. Receiving honors with her degree, she will always be immortalized as the smart cookie that she is.

Cayley was married to Will Freeman on Saturday, October 16, 1999 in Orlando, Florida in the middle of Hurricane Irene. This storm could only challenge the smallest percentage of the great force that Cayley was. The pair’s love is impossible to put into words; spanning across decades, Cayley and Will faced everything together in stride. The family takes great comfort in knowing that Cayley will stand by Will every step of the way, though she may have to hear him get pop culture references wrong.

Cayley had a career in funeral service for Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park. She was an avid supporter of animal welfare and rehabilitation. She spent her life loving flowers, the very highest heels, Keith Urban, and living life to the fullest. Her family and friends know that the flowers will grow a little brighter now that she is watering them.

She is survived by her husband, Will; her daughter, Aspyn (L.J); her mother, Jill; her sisters, Jennifer (Geoff) and Rachelle (Kathleen); her aunt, Gail (Ron); her cousins, Terry, Kristin (Thomas), and Kori (Alex); her father-in-law, Bill; her sister-in law Stephanie (David); her nieces, Kendall and Sydney; and countless other family members, friends, and maybe a few enemies.

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard and her mother-in-law, Bette.

A celebration of Cayley’s life will take place at the Hilton Nashville Downtown from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. in the Grand Ballroom. All guests should come as they are and as Cayley loved them.

To offer condolences the family accepts flowers, one of Cayley’s greatest loves. For those of you without a green thumb, in lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
