Chanh Siharath, 65, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born in Vang Vieng, Laos to Bounmy and Bouala Kounlavong, she immigrated to the United States in 1981 alongside her brothers Bouakhong, Bounkhong, Vanh, and Ty Kounlavong. Chanh settled in Nashville, TN, where she started a family with her former spouse, Khamseng Siharath, raising three daughters: Noy Vongsaly, Diane Siharath, and Nancy Siharath.
Chanh was cherished for her loving spirit, embracing not only her family but also friends and the community. In 2010, she took over the family business, Mekong Market, quickly becoming a caring figure—regarded as a mother, sister, and friend by many in the community. Her warm smile and charismatic presence made everyone feel like family.
She leaves behind her three daughters, who continue to spread her legacy of love and kindness, her four brothers, eight grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children. The kindness and joy she shared will live on through all whose lives she touched.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home in Nashville, TN. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2 pm, with the funeral following on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 2 pm.
In loving memory of Chanh Siharath... to know her is to love her.
