Charles Ernest McKinney Jr, age 87, passed away after a battle with pneumonia. He was born September 1, 1930 in Birmingham, AL, to Charles Ernest McKinney, Sr. and Larimore (Swindle). Charles was a very loving generous man.
He obtained a Master’s Degree in the Education field. Charles was an educator for Metro Davidson County Schools for 39 years. He is survived by his sons Charles Ernest McKinney, III (Linda) and Daniel J. McKinney (Debbie); grandchildren Jennifer Joy Horner (Jimmy), John Franklin Garlit III (Lindsay) and Dustin D. McKinney; Sister Anne Richardson.
Celebration of Life Service will be on Tuesday at one o'clock in the afternoon, Woodlawn's Dignity Hall.
Gathering of family and friends, Monday, February 12, 2018 from five o'clock until eight o'clock, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
