Charles Edward York Sr.

Charles Edward York Sr., 70, transitioned into Heaven after a courageous fight with cancer on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at his home in Lebanon, TN. Chuck was born January 4, 1955 in Nashville, TN - the youngest son of Dennis L. and Josephine York. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Susan York, his youngest daughter Jamie Michelle York, his sister Danna, and his brothers Butch, Mike, Jim, and Don.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Patrick (Pam) Garrett of Sanford, FL; son Lee Garrett of Wood River, IL; son Charles "CJ" (Emily) York, Jr. of Nashville, TN; daughter Tricia York (Steve) Jones of Smyrna, TN, and special friend, Yuh-Jy Pierce. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandsons, and 1 great granddaughter.

Chuck loved his dogs and bowling. He was a lifetime member of American Bowling Congress and United States Bowling Congress and a hall of fame member of the Nashville Area Board of Directors.

A celebration of his life will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
