Charlotte Maggard Carothers

Charlotte Maggard Carothers of Antioch, TN passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2017. Born on July 31st, 1936, in Floyd County, KY, she attended Floyd County High School and went on to receive her BS from Bowling Green Business University.She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jim Carothers Jr. of Antioch and son James Carothers III and his wife Lori of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren, Nathan Carothers and Rachel Carothers and her fiancé Reid Zingale of Murfreesboro. She is also survived by two brothers, Larry Maggard and his wife Vicki of KY, Rick Maggard and his wife Nancy of MN; three sisters, Doris Stanley and her husband Dean of KY, Linda Delaney and her husband Tom of TX, Jennifer Stevens and her husband Vernon of IN and by many nieces and nephews and their extended families.She is preceded in death by two brothers, Morris Maggard and Paul Maggard, and her parents, William Arnold and Elaine Slone Maggard.Visitation is June 23 from 12:30-2:30p.m. at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. The funeral service is at 2:30p.m. in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with her brother Rick Maggard officiating. Entombment will follow immediately after the service. Pallbearers are Dean Stanley, Vernon Stevens, Brad Stanley, Andy Stevens, Matt Stanley, and Nathan Carothers.The family wishes to thank the staff of NHC in Murfreesboro for their care of Mrs. Carothers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nashville Humane Association or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
