The name Devereaux fit her perfectly - beauty, confidence, knowledge that she willingly shared; yet "Dev" was who she was - Southern from head to toe and absolutely genuine. She was a true southern lady, who shared conversation, flowers from her gardens, and her home cooking with everyone around her. One of my fondest memories is standing around the kitchen table with Dev and Mary Lou, making Christmas wreaths one year. Maybe just another day for the two lifelong friends, but so special to me to be included. I am grateful to have shared a part of her life, learned from her wisdom and grace, and to be a part of this family.

She lived an audacious life to be of that generation. I am sure she touched a lot of people over her life.
Sorry for the loss, above all she was a mother.
