Connie Neil (Horne) Grayson, 78, of Brentwood, Tennessee passed from this life to her eternal home on September 20, 2018. Connie was born on November 25,1939 in Gurdon, Arkansas to the late Jesse Neil and Alline (Guynn) Horne.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years Bobby Ronald Grayson of Brentwood, Tennessee. She is also survived by her daughter Kim Grayson Evins (Ed) of Brentwood, Tennessee, granddaughter Grayson Victoria Propst of Los Angeles, California, grandson Jack Remmel Propst of Oxford, Mississippi and brother Tony Horne (Brenda) of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Connie married her husband Bobby in June of 1957 at the Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon, Arkansas. Connie also graduated from Gurdon High School in 1957 where she was voted football homecoming Queen. She was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow and held the office of Worthy Advisor. After marriage, Connie and Bobby moved to Dallas, Texas where they lived for 30 years and raised their daughter, Kim. Connie was a master seamstress and took great pleasure in designing evening gowns for pageantry and stage events. She relocated with her family to Nashville, Tennessee in 1991. This is where her life became its richest and most meaningful with the birth of her granddaughter, Grayson and her grandson, Jack.
Connie's interment service will be held on October 28, 2018 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville, Tennessee at 2:00pm. It will be officiated by the Reverend Jerry Winfield.
