Cora Thelma Holloway

HOLLOWAY, Cora Thelma, a native of Hickman County, TN died Wed. June 19, 2013 after an extended illness. She lived most of her adult life in Rockwood, TN and Nashville, TN. Her final years were spent in Ooltewah, TN living with her daughter, and then in the Lantern of Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center in Ooltewah. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rufus Holt, her second husband, Raymond Holloway, a daughter, Brenda Gail Holt; her parents, S.J. and Nora Warren Hudgins; brother, Harold Hudgins; sister, Marjorie Bash; daughter-in-law, Peggy Holt. She is survived by daughters, Jeannette (John) Gregg, Ooltewah, TN, Liana Farragut (Johnny)Fairhope, Al; son, Charles Holt, Rockwood, TN; brother, Simuel Hudgins, Rockwood, TN; grandchildren, John (Teresa) Gregg, Apison, TN, Steve (Laura) Gregg, Ooltewah, TN, Kimbra (Matt) Johnston, College Grove, TN, Scott (Kim) Holt, Madison, TN and Lisa (Todd) McCann, Murfreesboro, TN; twelve great grandchildren. She was a long-time member of the Bellevue Church of Christ. Funeral service will be held Saturday June 22, 2013 at two-thirty p.m. in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Bro. Larry Hudgins (nephew) officiating, assisted by grandchildren. Entombment to follow in Woodlawn Cross Mausoleum. Serving as Pallbearers will be Matt Johnston, Todd McCann, Donald Hudgins, John Gregg, Steve Gregg and Scott Holt. In lieu of customary floral tributes contributes may be made to the Mission Fund, Bellevue Church of Christ, 7401 Highway 70 South Nashville, TN 37221 or to the Mission Fund, East Brainerd Church of Christ 7745 East Brainerd Road Chattanooga, TN 37421. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Saturday from one o’clock until time of the service at two-thirty.
