Mrs. Knight was born on October 4, 1917, in Nashville, Tennessee. She met and married Charles Vernon Knight in the earlier years of her life. They were happily married until his death in 1984. Mrs. Knight deeply cared for all of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She enjoyed reading and traveling as well as gardening and birdwatching. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Henry and Edna Farish Langley, and her husband, Charles Vernon Knight.
She is survived by multiple nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Mount Olivet Funeral Home from ten o’clock until eleven-thirty in the morning.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held following the visitation at eleven-thirty at Mount Olivet Funeral Home with The Rev. Dr. James “Jim” A. Moran officiating.
Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
