

Daisy Gwen Jones, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Nashville, TN, on August 2, 2024. She was 83 years old. Born in Dickson, TN, to Velma Gladys Sullivan (Bowen) and William Claude Sullivan, Daisy's life was a testament to her deep love for God, family, and the joys of life.
Daisy graduated from Dickson County High School in 1958 and dedicated over 25 years of her career to BellSouth/AT&T. Her professional achievements were matched by her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter. Known for her free-spirited nature, Daisy had a unique ability to lift the spirits of everyone around her. Her joy was evident in her funny cartoons, creative emojis, and her always-present, heartwarming smile.
An avid traveler, Daisy cherished adventures whether riding motorcycles, exploring the beach and mountains, or indulging in her favorite treats—margaritas, sangria, and laughter-filled moments. She had a special fondness for roses, sunflowers, and vibrant hues of red and purple. Her love for crime TV and her talent for making jokes and spreading joy made her a cherished friend to many.
Daisy was an active Baptist, where her faith and kindness touched many lives. She is survived by her loving family: Danny Lee Hubble (Tami), Dianna Marie Hubble, Donald Wayne Jones (Betty), Angela Denise Jones (Rowdy); 16 grandchildren; 1 grand dog; 25 & ¼ great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Velma Gladys Sullivan (Bowen) and William Claude Sullivan, and her husband and long-time friend Roy Douglas Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Daisy’s honor to Alive Hospice or the Nashville Animal Humane Shelter, reflecting her lifelong compassion for others.
Daisy's legacy of love, laughter, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A gathering of family & friends for Daisy will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a celebration of life from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
