

Dale Leroy “Butchie” Gish, age 73, passed away, Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Mr. Gish was the son of the late Truman Harley Gish and Lillian Grace Parrish Gish. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Nancy Gish; son, Jeff Gish and his wife, Vicky; daughter, Shelly Hinton and her husband, Joe; sisters, Carol Polson and Evelyn McKibben and her husband, Dale; grandchildren, Ashley Gish and Alex Hinton and soon to be born grandson, Christopher Cole Hinton. He is also survived by Charlie, Louie and Skipper, his beloved Corgis. A Celebration of Mr. Gish’s life will be held at 2:30 the afternoon of Friday, September 10, 2010 in Dignity Hall at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with Barry Smith presiding. The family suggests Boating or Casual Attire. Mr. Gish was a giant of a man, with a heart of gold. He loved planes, trains, boats, automobiles and Corgis. Among his other ventures, he was a founder of Gish, Sherwood & Friends ( GS&F), board member of The Minnie Pearl Foundation, member of Cedar Creek Yacht Club, member of Sarasota Yacht Club, and he was proud of his association with Camping World. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to the Nashville Humane Society. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10 o’clock until service time at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
