My deepest condolences to David's family. I have very fond memories of working with David when he was City Attorney for Clarksville. He was extremely intelligent, fair, thoughtful, and always acted with integrity- all while being charming and funny. He will be greatly missed by all those who had the chance to work with him.

I just learned of David's death today and I am very sorry for his family. David and I were in law school together and graduated in the same class of 1982 at Cumberland. We have met frequently at municipal attorney meetings at TMAA and IMLA for many years. I will miss seeing and speaking with him as a bright and friendly attorney. I will be praying for his family.

I’m sorry to hear of David’s passing. We worked together when he was an Administrative Law Judge. He was a really good guy. Condolences to his friends and family.

David Haines was one of my favorite people in Juvenile Court. Every time we had cases on the same docket, we would quietly sit side-by-side, each playing word games on our phones, while we waited for our cases to be called. He blamed me for getting him hooked on Wordscapes, sorry about that. I will miss him, but am sure he is working on a puzzle right now and smiling all the while.

I just heard that David passed away, and I wanted to let you know how sorry I am. I moved to Colorado in 2014, but prior to that David was my supervisor at the Administrative Office of the Courts. He was such a kind person and a wonderful boss. I mourn for the individuals who will never have the opportunity to know him. He was loved and will be missed. Take care.
