
REDMOND, David Lee, “Schoochie”, MSG (Ret) Nashville, TN David departed this life at the age of 76, on Wednesday November 5th 2014. He was born in Nashville on the 30th of August 1938 to the late Dave & Bessie (Johnson) Redmond. David was artistic, patriotic and hard working. His joys in life were writing/poetry, artwork, shade tree mechanic, avid sports fan and a devoted family man. David served 9 years in the United States Air Force and 21 years in the Tennessee Army National Guard, achieving several honorable citations including retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was a Sears employee for over 40 years, serving in various roles before retiring in 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty, “ Betsy” Pope Redmond; Daughters, Lee Ann (Anthony) Hanna, Lou (Chuck) Cox; Son, Tom (Kari) Redmond; Grandchildren, Tommy, Katie (Jake), Taylor, Becca, Peyton, & Aaron; Great-Grand Child, Finley; Sister, Judy Redmond; Brother, Eddy (Edith) Redmond and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 o’clock in the morning, with viewing one hour prior, on Saturday, November 8th 2014 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, John Garner officiating. A Masonic Service will be held at seven o'clock in the evening on Friday November 7th 2014.The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 o’clock in the evening on Friday, November 7th 2014 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
