Deborah Roberts Thomas

Deborah Thomas departed this life on February 7, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 65. Born on January 21, 1960, in High Point, North Carolina, Deborah was a source of love, warmth and inspiration to all who knew her.

Deborah was the cherished daughter of Tom and Ellen Roberts. She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Roberts and her brother, Tommy Roberts, Jr., who welcomed her with open arms in the eternal afterlife.

Deborah is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Brian Thomas, whose partnership with her was a testament to unwavering love and support. Together, they celebrated their marriage on July 26, 1980, in Nashville, Tennessee, beginning a beautiful journey that would last for over four decades. Their love blossomed into a family that Deborah adored fiercely.

She took immense pride in her children, Kirk, Kyle and Tracey who were her greatest joy and accomplishments. Deborah was also a proud grandmother to Railynn Lewis, whose laughter and spirit brought light to her life. Her nurturing nature extended to her mother, Ellen Roberts, who always admired her daughter’s strength and kindness. Deborah was also blessed with two wonderful sisters, Karlene (Clayton) Carter of Kingsport, Tennessee and Sherry (Brad) Dean of Hendersonville, Tennessee. Deborah also had several nieces and nephews, Allison (TJ) Elsten, Ashley (Kyle) Williams, Carter Williams, Ty Elsten, Lucas Elsten, Kelton Carter, Katie (Chris) Lambert, Andrew (Taylor) Carter, Finley Carter and Remy Carter.

During this difficult time, the Thomas family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who reached out with support, love and compassion. Your kindness has helped ease the burden of their loss.

As we remember Deborah Thomas, let us honor her legacy of love and devotion. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege to know her. May her spirit shine on in all the lives she touched.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends for Deborah on Saturday February 15, 2025 from 12 noon until 2 pm with a Celebration of Life service at 2 pm in the Chapel at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home 429 Donelson Pike, Nashville, TN 37214 with Bro Jim Atwood of Donelson Church of Christ officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that Memorial Contributions be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org
