Dollie E Nolan

Daughter of the late Prudie and Ivan Edge, she was born September 29, 1927, in Ohio County, Kentucky. Dollie graduated from Whitesville High School and was her class valedictorian. She also was a star in her school's theatrical program.

Moving to Nashville to attend business school, Dollie met and married Frank Nolan. During the marriage until Frank's death in 2000, they were blessed to raise 11 children, two who preceded her in death (Mike, Beth).

Dollie is preceded in death by sisters: Cora Greer and Maida Dane Edge and brothers Gesta Edge, Marvin Edge and William Edge.

Preceded in death by: sisters-in-law: Sister Mary Bernadelle (Alice) Nolan, R.S.M., Dorothy Shelton, Patricia Robertson and Margaret Verchota and brothers-in-law Sgt. Eugene Nolan, Joe Nolan, Rev. Bill Nolan and Tommy Nolan.

Survived by sister: Peggy Ann Edge Small, Owensboro, KY

Survived by children: Gene (Laurie) Nolan, Nashville, TN; Rebecca Kahn, Nashville, TN; Joan (Mark) Lewis, Blacksburg, VA; Frank V. (Jeanne) Nolan, Smyrna, TN; David (Donna) Nolan, Murfreesboro, TN; Janie (Vince deceased) DuLuca; Angela (Ivey) Woodard, Franklin, TN; Alice Greene, Mt. Juliet, TN; Amy Herbers, Memphis, TN. 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.

On Wednesday, July 30th a rosary and visitation for Dollie will be held beginning at 9:00am at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Smyrna followed by Mass of the Resurrection at the church at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Nashville's Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Dollie's memory be sent to St. Luke's Catholic Church or Room in the Inn.
