Donell Benson Ellis

ELLIS, Donell Benson - Age 85, of Hermitage, passed away on January 28, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, Hobart Ellis and Sally Gregory Ellis; loving wife of 57 years, Jessie Rose Ellis; grandson, Jeffrey Russell; brothers, Bill Ellis and Othell Ellis; and sister, Mazelle Oldam. Survived by son, Donald (Debrah) Ellis; daughters, Judy (Gerry) Kring and Joyce (Jeff) Sammons; grandchildren, Carole Humphrey, Kevin Ellis, Jennifer Goodson, Christy Gilchrist, Lisa Harpole; great-grandchildren, Ryan Humphrey, Will Humphrey, Luke Humphrey, Tyler Ellis, Emma Ellis, Brandon Russell, Leah Harpole, Olivia Harpole, Nathan Harpole, Brittany Jaco, Jeremy Jaco, Addison Goodson, and Trey Goodson; and one great-great grandchild, Casey Russell; brother, Dick Ellis; sisters, Sylvia Esque and Helen Duffer. Mr. Ellis was a long-time member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, and was retired from Nashville Display Company. He will be deeply missed by those he loved with all his heart, his family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Woodlawn's Dignity Hall at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 with Pastor James Rowlett officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. and again one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
