Although we never met, when I was a little boy I discovered that we were related on my Father's side of the family.  My dad was born in Dumas, TX. When "Party Doll" came out I was excited to tell everyone about you.  I often wished that we had met.  The music industry and I will miss you, my friend.  Rest in peace!

Played football with Donnie,, really good player.. saw him quickkick a football  from deep in the end zone to there 5 yard line.. & when the Oton player picked it up I hit him.. football came out,but went out of bounds.that has got to be a record quick kick.

I was also saddened to here about my Uncle Donnie, Mickey & I had many great times with him & others in the band when we were young, he had been sick for awhile, haven't had as much contact with him since our mom passed away, he was a very kind person, loved him much. Rest in peace Uncle Donnie.

Sorry to hear today of his passing. He was my uncle, my mothers brother. Many memories in those pictures. My sister and I, Tammy, also graduated from Dumas High School. I last spoke with Donnie about 1 1/2 years ago when his son passed away. Great memories of Donnie.

I was lucky enough to know Don most of my life.  I can't remember when we met, but I know it was in LA in the early Bowen days when the music business was fun, and we all worked and played hard...then on to Nashville... Don was a brilliant song man with great ears...he was very humble, quick witted and loved what life brought him...I was blessed to call him a friend and will miss him, as will many .....He was one true gentleman..Life well lived, job well done....

Sorry to learn today of his passing. I have fond memories of working with Dirt at two labels. He was a sweet, funny, kind person. Such a gentleman. My sincere condolences to his loved ones.

My Uncle Dirt, was a great man, a man with flaws, attributes, gigantic success and sted fast believes.  I will love him till my last days, and beyond.  God Bless you Uncle Dirt, can't wait to be there tomorrow and celebrate your life!

Don was a true music person in every aspect and a true friend I was proud to have known and worked with him. Everytime Party Doll would play on the radio the guitar solo (there were two  ) always made me smile
