Doris Marie Davis, age 75, passed away peacefully February 18, 2019 at her home in White Bluff, TN surrounded by family and friends. She was born on May 21, 1943 in Nashville, TN to Betty (Clark) and Wilson Turbeville. She married her longtime friend and love, Robert B. Davis, in August of 1987 who preceded her in death on
May 15, 2018.
Doris was a woman devoted to her family. At age 15, she began to work in the food industry as a waitress. With a lot of hard work, she became a business owner and opened her first restaurant, Doris's Kitchen. In later years, she decided to step away from her business and become a full time homemaker. During this time, her lifelong long love of flowers began to blossom. A lifelong friendship with, Robert B. Davis, bloomed and he became the love of her life. She was a woman who always put her family's needs before her own.
Doris was preceded in death by her mother Betty Elizabeth (Clark) Turbeville, father Wilson Turbeville, brother Earl Turbeville, sister Lousie Reynolds, sister Rosie Turbeville, brother John Turbeville, sister Effie Barnes, sister Hallie Wooldridge, daughter Mary Elizabeth Turbeville, and husband Robert Brown Davis.
Doris is survived by her sister Helen Clark, brother David Turbeville, daughter Linda Williams, daughter Lisa Kimbro, daughter Barbra Ann Bacigalupo, daughter Cynthia Pate, son Steve Davis, granddaughter Mandy Thomas, grandson Jonathan Martin, grandson Christopher Pate, granddaughter Kayla Martin, granddaughter Andromeda Worrell, granddaughter Nikki Davison-Watts, granddaughter Adrianne Witt, granddaughter Tiffany Davis, granddaughter Ashley Pate, granddaughter Brandi Davis, great-grandson Sean Pewitt, great-granddaughter Anastatia Fricia, great-grandson Cullen Cobb, great-granddaughter Brittney Stites, great-granddaughter Brooke Hampton, great-granddaughter Casey Witt, great-grandson Declan Witt, great-granddaughter Olivia Pate, and great-granddaughter Aubrey Mae Lynn,
Funeral services will be held on Febraury 23, 2019 at 2:30 pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park at 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN. The visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday and 1:30 to 2:30pm on Saturday.
