Dorothy K. Overstreet, age 97, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 in Nashville, TN. She was born on July 28, 1925 in Columbia, TN to the late Alfred W. Kelley and Ora J. Shepherd.
Dorothy worked at Baptist hospital for 30 years as a Nurse. She was also a member of Glenwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her Daughter, Judy (Stacy) Hamilton; Sons, Jerry Overstreet and Joe (Diane) Overstreet; Grandchildren, Tracey Hamilton, Eric Hamilton, Justin (Katie) Overstreet, Timothy Beaty, Chad Wasill; Great-Grandchildren, Tinsley, Cameron, Peyton, Victoria and Brianna.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred W. Kelley and Ora J. Kelley; and daughter, Janet McWhorter.
A gathering of family and friends for Dorothy will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A celebration of life will follow the visitation at 11:30 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A graveside service will occur Friday, June 23, 2023 at 12:15 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
