Duncan Eve died peacefully on October 13, 2018. He was born in Nashville on November 17, 1922 and preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Duncan Eve and his sister, Mrs. Genevieve Bransford Fletcher. He is survived by his nieces Louise Bransfod Frazer (James) and Anna Mary Bransford Lenderman (Richard) and their children Louise Eve Frazer, Genevieve Frazer Ferguson (Hill), James Stokes Frazer (Annie) and Hill Bransford Lenderman (Jenny).
Duncan attended MBA and West End High School where he was president of his senior class and president of the Alpha Chi Fraternity. He was in World War Il for three years in both the European and Pacific Theater. Upon returning home, he attended Vanderbilt University and then moved to Springfield, Tennessee where he was a director of Springfield Woolen Mills, officer and director of Cumberland Shoe Corporation and was the president of the Springfield chamber of commerce.
He was a member of the American Legion for 60 years, a member of the Downtown YMCA where he had many friends. He was also a member of the Belle Meade Country Club. Duncan was a true gentleman and a friend to everyone. We want to give special thanks to Karyn Armendariz, Beverly Graves and Tequita Patrick and all his caregivers and to Alive Hospice.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at St. George's on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. with graveside sewices to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
