

Earl Tabers, 76, of Murray, Kentucky, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Superior Care Home in Paducah, Kentucky. He was the former co-owner of Tabers Body Shop and later retired after several years as an auto dealer. He was born on January 23, 1938 in Murray to Rex and Christine Howard Tabers. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Murray. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Gerald Tabers. Mr. Tabers is survived by a daughter, Starlyn Wyatt and husband David of West Paducah; a son, Michael Tabers and partner Michael Rook of Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers, Bernard Tabers and wife Doris, Brentwood, Tennessee, Jim Tabers and wife Mary Lou of Bethany, Oklahoma; one sister, Debbie Hill and husband David of Brandenton, Florida; three grandsons, Zach Wyatt & Ben Wyatt of Murray and Jacob Wyatt of West Paducah; former wife Marilyn Tabers of Murray; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Murray City Cemetery with John Dale officiating.
