Edith Lucille Bush

Mrs. Bush was born in Tabor, NC, on January 18, 1923, the daughter of the late John Garrell and Edith Shriner Garrell. She graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University and was a teacher for twenty-three years. Mrs. Bush was a member of Nashville First Church of the Nazarene and will always be remembered as “Ms. First Church.” She loved everyone and treated all with respect. Mrs. Bush was a devout preacher’s wife for forty-six years and supported her husband. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert Erwin Bush.

Survivors include her two sons, Rev. Bob Bush (Theresa) and Dr. Byron Bush (Kelly); five grandchildren, Cary, Cheston, Cortney, Seth, and Victor; and ten great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 1, 2017, at eleven o’clock with visitation at ten o’clock, Nashville First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Kevin Ulmet officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Sunday from four o’clock until eight o’clock at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
