Max Edward Mendelsohn, 74, native of Nashville, TN, passed peacefully September 12, 2021 after a long illness. Preceded in death by parents Murdock & Eva Rosenblum Mendelsohn. Also preceded in death by brother Leonard Mendelsohn and sister-in-law Jenny Russell Bennett. Survived by wife Lisa Russell Mendelsohn, the couple’s two old dogs, Betty and Frankie, sister Joan Mehlman, sister-in-law Gayle Wiegel, brothers-in-law Brad, Mark & Stuart Russell & Dee Bennett & their families. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and adoptive family of Davises and Hall— children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. Armies of loyal, beloved friends— old & new—were loved and regarded as special family by Max. A celebration of life will be held at a later date when it is safer to gather. Donations to honor Max may be made to ASPCA, Human Rights Campaign, Alive Hospice or charity of choice.
