Elizabeth McMahon Mason

She was the daughter of Lemuel and Louise Sirls McMahon.

Mrs. Mason was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Mason in 2014. She is survived by three children, Marsha Mason Hunt, Sherrie Mason Andrews, and Mark A. Mason; four grandchildren (Shannon Terrell Hunt and Zachary Mason Hunt; Robert Preston Hill, John Edward Andrews), and five great-grandchildren.

She attended Tarbox School and graduated from East High School. She met Mr. Mason during World War II, and they married in 1942 – one week before he was deployed for military service in Europe – and they enjoyed 72 years of marriage.

They were long-time members of the Sports Car Club of America and Brentwood Country Club, where Mrs. Mason once hit a hole-in-one. An avid golfer, she and Mr. Mason were owners of All-Pro Golf in Green Hills. Mrs. Mason also worked for many years at Emma’s Florist in Nashville.

They were long-time members of Woodmont Baptist Church, and later Arlington Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held at five o’ clock in the evening until seven on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A private family service is scheduled for Friday, May 15, 2015.
