

Ellen was born in Nashville, TN, on September 14, 1925 to the loving parents James and Mary Walker. She married to Cecil Warner Powers on April 9, 1947, in Wilson County, and they shared a life filled with love and devotion.
Ellen dedicated her career and time to serving others through her work with the UNA Church of Christ, Meals on Wheels Ministry, Disaster Relief, Healing Hands International, and participant and supporter of Inner City Ministry. She was a faithful servant who found joy in serving others and sharing the love of Christ.
She is preceded in death by parents, 4 brothers, sister, the love of her life Warner Powers.
She is survived by her children: Cherry Cotham, Lynne Arnold (Brad), and Swaney Powers (LaDonna); grandchildren: Melia Roller (Ryan), Amy Rusley (Jim), Travis Powers (Jessi), Brett Powers (Amy); 12 great grandchildren Victoria Rusley, Graydon Rusley, Aiden Rusley, Hudson Roller, Warner Roller, Anne Michael Roller, Mary Blakely Roller, Lacey Powers, Garrett Powers, Cody Powers, Riley Powers, and Liam Powers; siblings: Chlorene Brown, Yvonne Brown, and Norene Speck, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ellen’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith, kindness, and love for her family and community. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
