Where to start?…I Met my ♏️ Twin in 2008, the encounter was a crazy one to say the least. Looking back at that first meeting it was a very dark humorous moment that makes me laugh to this day. It also made Ellen laugh when we reminisced on the moment, but she would roll her eyes and dismiss my teasing. We definitely loved each other, we had the same spirit and outlook on life that was special to us both. We were born a day apart and we both got business degrees from MTSU. We both carried an arrogance that was misunderstood it wasnt a “cocky thing” it was confidence and assure of who we are. No one had that confidence more than you “Elz”. I miss our flirty ways that kept us in our Scorpio happy balance. The last time we saw each other was when I did a random wellness check on you  when you were staying in Murfreesboro right before your passing. I gave you the update on my life and you did the same. You gave me a kiss on the cheek and told me you loved me with a hug. You will forever be with me. Ellen may your soul Rest In Peace. Your Friend Chocolate Thunder 🙏🏿 

Ellen  and I were  close for  many years.   We weathered a lot of storms during our times together,  but we also celebrated many small victories and happy times too.     Ellen was special in terms of her wry sense of humor,   her love of animals and all things having to do with shopping and fashion, and  most importantly,  her unshakeable faith and her ability to maintain hope and persevere in the face of extreme hardship.   It was an honor to know and spend time with her, as well as her mother and the birdies too.   She  will be fondly remembered by me, until our paths meet again.   Rest In Peace  Ellen.

I remember holding Ellen when she was a newborn with such a wonderful life ahead of her.  Her unfortunate accident made life more difficult to live, but live, she did; and she accomplished so much more than was ever expected given her injury.  Gaylel and Ron, you supported every day of Ellen's life during those very hard years.  Ellen's story should  be published!

Ellen and her family were a huge part of my life growing up. She was the closest I had to consider a sister growing up being I grew up with only brothers. Our parents had our families together on a regular basis and when we didn't live in the same town at times, our parents would travel us to be with them or them with us. The connection with families were with our mothers, they grew up together and had the same circle of friends. I loved Ellen so very much and had the privilege of having her in my facility here in Chattanooga for a year and a half with rehab from her accident.  Gail, Ron and Kellie, I love you all so very much and am proud of how you took care of Ellen through all of this.

Ellen had a beautiful, sweet personality with a great sense of humor! I remember how she enjoyed working on computer programs for interior design and designing clothes. She was definitely a fashionista, always wearing jewelry sets that matched her outfits. Ellen had a great attitude about living life to the fullest, no matter what obstacles she faced! She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her sweet family!
