A big bright happy light went out when “Ms. Douglas”  left this world. Oh, the laughs she would bring. She  held her own in the gym and at the “Board Meetings” of her Westside Athletic Club group, keeping us in stitches with her quick-witted humor. She was no sissy! Lee Ann, I’m sending Love to you and your family. You must miss her so.  

I was lucky to know Ellene.  She had a wonderful wit, smile, and sense of humor and I so enjoyed our chats at the Photoglo's on Thanksgiving.  She will be greatly missed.  Love to Lee Ann and the family.

This is for Jim.  I have been going through old letters and found the ones from you right after you moved to Nashville. Remember me from Lookout mountain?  Just wondered if you were in Nashville. We live right around the corner from your Dads nursery on Estes.

I knew Ellene at This N That Thrift Shop where she and I volunteered on Monday mornings. She brought lots of laughter to all of us and I will miss her. Jennifer Leathers

It is with a heavy heart that I have to say goodbye to my dear friend of 64 years.  We have had so many fun times over the years and shared some sad ones too.  But I will treasure all my memories of our friendship.   I miss you.   Love Dorothy

Ellene  started 22 years ago as a new neighbor, right next door.  She has become one of our entire families best friends.

We were lucky enough to know this beautiful lady and share laughs on a few occasions.  I always enjoyed her wit and charm!  Watching her enjoy her grandson Griffin was so heartwarming!  Rest In Peace Ellene.  Love to Lee Ann and all the family. ❤️

Ellene lived next door to my parents for over 20+ years. Every time I would drive up she would open her front door to chat with me. I teasingly loved to call her “Mrs. Kravitz” because she knew what was going on in the neighborhood. She always loved to laugh! I think the best story we enjoyed was talking about how I got seated next to Andy Roddick  on an international flight.  She’ll be missed!💕

Ellene sat across the aisle from my family  at Redeemer.   She always smiled and spoke when we saw each other.  Praying for peace and comfort for your family during this sad time. God  Bless.

The Irwin Family would like to send our condolences. Mrs Douglas would sit with us at church.  She was a sweet lady and always would ask about our boys and their newest adventures. We will miss her dearly.  Matt, Michelle, Brady, Tyler and Lucas
