Harry Elliott Ozment, 71 died Tuesday October 16th 2018. Elliott was born on January 2, 1947 to Lecil Ozment and Virginia Morris Ozment. He was a renowned immigration attorney and passionate advocate of civil rights. Elliott founded The Law Offices of Elliott Ozment, was a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School and former Tennessee State Representative. Elliott also spent many years as Church of Christ minister.
Elliott is preceded in death by his parents Lecil and Virginia Ozment. Survivors include sons, Chris Ozment of Houston Texas, Johan ( Laura) Ozment of Nashville Tennessee, Alejandro Ozment, daughter Beth (David) Duryea, long-time companion Elizabeth Ozment and grandchildren Samuel Duryea, Jacob Duryea, and Santiago Ozment.
Pallbearers will be Chris Ozment, Johan Ozment, Alejandro Ozment, David Duryea, Don Duryea, and Eddie Baker, honorary pallbearers will be Avi Poster and Dewey Limeberry. Patrick Mead will be officiating the funeral service.
The funeral is 4:00pm Saturday at Woodlawn Funeral Home with burial following funeral service at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation is 2:00pm-4:00pm Saturday at Woodlawn Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
