I met Ernest when he and his family were pursuing fireworks legislation at the Tennessee General Assembly. We were brought together by Representative Harwell now Speaker Harwell and I had an enormous amount of respect for Ernest. I only knew Ernest from a professional stand point but there was never a time that we spoke that he did not mention his daughter Elizabeth or his grandchildren that he always spoke highly of. He will be missed.

Unfortunately, I only knew Earnest in the latter part of his life, but it was easy to see that he was a person who made a difference in people's lives. I can think of no higher tribute than that he will missed, which he will be by family, friends, and associates alike. My condolences to Elisabeth and the family.
