Ethel Leona Ashburn

ASHBURN, Ethel Leona - Age 95, departed her earthly life on September 7, 2012 for her eternal home with Jesus Christ. She was born on November 24, 1916 in Nashville to the late Hershel and Della Oakley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in her passing over by her devoted husband, Lionel Ashburn; loving sister, Margaret Nichols; and nephew, Bill Nichols. She is survived by nieces, Jo Ann Nichols, Patricia (Don) Harris, and Alisa (Jeff) Huling. She retired from Genesco Shoe Company and was a member of Campbell Road Church of Christ. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at Woodlawn's Dignity Hall at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2012 with Bro. Mike Richardson officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park following the service. Those serving as Active Pallbearers include Mel Cooper, Ryan Paul Harris, Don Harris, Pete Epps, Bobby Luffman, and Dennis Buchanan. Honorary Pallbearers will be the caring and faithful men and women of the Madison Fifty Forward Bible Study Class who fondly called Mrs. Ashburn "Aunt Leona".
