Ethel was raised in rural Bedford Co. TN and came to Nashville at age 18 to study at the Nashville Business College. After raising her family she worked for Colony House, The American Economic Society, and Vanderbilt University.
She was active in her church from early childhood, raised in the Presbyterian Church, and joining the Methodist Church after her marriage to John Robinson in 1951. She and her family joined Calvary UMC in 1966 where she sang in the Choir for almost 50 years. She was a member of the Pathfinders SS class, active in women’s circles, and she and John served as Church Historians for many years.
Over the years she was a member of several Garden Clubs and was an avid bridge player joining numerous Bridge Clubs. As the last of her generation on both the Robinson and Jones sides of her family we will greatly missed our connection to that “Greatest Generation” But mostly she will be missed by those who loved her most! Mom May God Bless You and Keep You in His eternal embrace.
