Eugene Garner Thomas age 88, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019.

Preceded in death by parents, James Homer and Rose Ellen Thomas; brother, John W Thomas

Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Betty Jo Thomas; children, Karen Ward, Terri (Mark) Goodrich, Brian (Deborah) Thomas, Debbie (Mike) Windsor; 8 grandchildren, Jason, Rachel, Brett, Ben, Bryan, Kirk, Kyle, Tracey; 9 great grandchildren, Lauren, Bailey, Laila, Coco, David, Brylie, Karlie, Adri, Railynn, sister, Mary Frances McMurtry and a host of family and friends.

Gene was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend he loved spending time with family and being outdoors. His family will cherish Gene's laughter, wisdom and sense of humor in their hearts and memories, Gene will truly be missed by all. Eugene was a faithful member of Lebanon Road Church of Christ

Gathering of family and friends Sunday, January 20, 2019 2pm until 5pm at Hibbett and Hailey Funeral Home and Monday, 10 am till service time at Lebanon Rd Church of Christ.

Funeral Service Monday, January 21, 2019 11am at Lebanon Road Church of Christ

So sorry to hear of his passing. God be with each and everyone of you at this horrible time. It's a long and very hard road to travel, and you can't do it alone. Can't say it gets easier, I don't think it does. Just continue believing in our Lord, Jesus Christ. And oneday we will be reunited with our loved one.
