Clara never met a stranger! Her cheerfulness was genuine, her smile mischievous, her heart found the good in everyone. Her cooking skills were superb as well as her bar tending.

I was her neighbor years ago and enjoyed many invites to join her for special events. She introduced me to services at the Assumption and her driving directions included many of Nashville’s Catholic landmarks.

I am forever grateful to have Clara memories.

Clara came into my life when I moved to Nashville, and I stayed at a hotel where she was working. I had no family or knew no one in town, so Clara became my sisterly friend.
The friendship gave me an insight into Nashville, because she was “born n raised in Nashville”. She shared many memories of her growing up in the Assumption Catholic community. Her father was a great influence in her life, and I know she is sharing with him right now. She has many friends from the first grade who she continued to talk about daily. I remembered being slightly jealous of Alice Strouble, because they’d had such a long loving relationship. Lol.
She was a kind, sweet and loving soul, careful to include everyone. She was a great cook, always with a recipe at hand.

We had many years of close friendship and she became a treasured member of my family. My family is grieving her loss just as I am. She will be remembered with love Forever!
