Phillip, Sharon and Gail: we take pause to honor the memory of your mom. Time has separated all of us but the memories will never leave us; our days at Donelson FWB Church will forever be a part of our memories. A life well-lived and we are assured of her love for God, her family, her church, and countless friends. May God's presence be your strength in the coming days; may the Promise of Eternal Life be your "lighthouse" as it was for you mother. Our love, prayers and respect.

Our Memories and Condolences go to Phillip, Sharon, Gail, their offspring, and extended family on the passing of Florence Griffith, a beloved friend during our days at Donelson Free Will Baptist Church. She and Leland were in Leroy's Adult Sunday School Class and the girls were in Fay's Girl S. S. class. They often had us and our sons, Jon and James, to Sunday Dinner. I think the picture of all my girls and I is still hanging on some wall at Donelson Fellowship. Florence was a beautiful hospitable Christian lady who had a "green thumb and beautiful garden," a wonderful cook, a devoted wife, and a loving mother who asked deep questions relating to theology, ethics, and morals that stretched Leroy's mind. The Griffith family had a touch of "farmer" in them. They loved and doctored animals. They had horses, a garden, and loved the out of doors. When we made our first trip to New England, Sharon and her sweet family were our hosts for a day and night and showed us all the historical places. I still have the placemats which Gail gave me for Christmas one year. Phillip was patient to take time with our sons, Jon & James, who adored him. They were such a beautiful family that we loved then, now, and forever. Heaven is nearer and even dearer since Mother Florence is there. Let's make sure that we make peace with our Lord and meet her there. Send us an Email ( and phone us 615-292-8709. Call us anytime 24/7 if you need anything, We would love to see you and yours.

Love & Prayers,
Leroy & Fay Forline

It was my honor to be the pastor of the Griffith family many years ago. I have sat at their dining table and enjoyed the fellowship of their entire family. It was a special blessing to have known them for so long. My children grew up with the Griffith children. Florence was a strong Christian lady who held deep and sincere convictions. She was a true friend and we will miss her presence among us. May the Lord bless her extended family. You will not find many who stood as solid as a rock as she. Blessings upon her family..............
