Frances Jones Henderson

Frances Jones Henderson was a loving and devoted woman who meant so much to her family. She was a dedicated mother, a loyal wife, and someone who made people feel comfortable just by being around her. Everyone who knew her talked about what an awesome mom she was. She showed up, she cared deeply, and she always made sure her family was taken care of.

Frances was born and raised in Madison, Tennessee. She raised her children in Old Hickory, where she built a home centered around family. She later retired in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee with her husband, Carl “Buddy” Henderson, Jr., who passed away on April 20, 2011. In her later years, she spent her golden years in Delray Beach, Florida, enjoying time close to her children.

She worked for over 20 years as an office assistant at Hermitage Eye Care. She was known for being dependable, kind, and someone people could count on.

Frances is survived by her children, Connie Elaine McCormac, Christopher Evans McCormac, and Amy Kay Henderson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Frances McCormac McAdams Stafford, in July 2024, and her great-grandson, Jaylen McAdams, in February 2024. She was also survived by, and a proud grandmother to Crystal and Miranda, and a great-grandmother to Jordan, Hommie, Kailani, and Kaito. She was also able to see the next generation beginning, becoming a great-great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her beloved Boston Terrier, Max, who brought her much comfort and companionship.

She will be deeply missed by her family and those who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1101 LEBANON PIKE, NASHVILLE, TN 37210, US, on April 23, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
