Frank Gray Hayes went to his eternal home on January 9, 2019 at the age of 70. Frank was born on November 6, 1948 in Nashville, Tennessee to Carl and Ann (Tolliver) Hayes. He graduated from East High School in 1966. He earned his degree in history in 1970 at Middle Tennessee State University, where he was a proud member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. In his early career, Frank worked as a medical office manager. Later, he was employed as a career counselor at Nashville Career Advancement Center from which he retired in 2017.
Frank’s passions included fishing, baseball, and spending time with his family. Any given weekend he could be found at a sports field watching his grandkids or at Johnny's with his friends.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brother, David Hayes. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gray and Catherine Hayes; his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Paul Cavitt; and his grandchildren Heath, Ava, and Eleanor.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 901 Old Hickory Boulevard, Madison. Family will receive friends before the service starting at 12:00.
