A native of New York, Fred made his way to Tennessee at the age of forty-eight and became a wonderful blend of northern spirit and southern charm.
He leaves behind his dear wife of forty-eight years, Ann Walsh Spruytenburg, and three children; son Frederick "Freddie" Thomas Spruytenburg Jr. and daughters Hilary Spruytenburg and Heidi Spruytenburg Buschmann as well as son-in-law Jeff Buschmann and four grandsons who greatly loved their "Pop-Pop"- Jackson (14), Reid (11), Connor (10) and Price (7).
Fred was a gentle, kind and charming man and is loved by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his analytical mind, worldly viewpoints and incisive wit.
