Survived by son, John (Portia) Stanley of Nashville; daughter, Janie (Kurt) Moss of Memphis; granddaughter, Karyn Stanley; grandsons, Ethan and Andrew Moss. Preceded in death by Lindon Boyd Stanley, her husband of 56 years; parents, Mahoney and Elizabeth Gilley; brothers, Howard and Kenneth Gilley.
Geraldine worked as a homemaker and also retired from Metro Nashville Public Schools Food Services after working many years at McGavock High School.
She was a member of Lebanon Road Church of Christ, attending there for almost 50 years. She helped pack boxes for Disaster Relief during times of need and volunteered as a tutor at Pennington Elementary School. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards, and collecting roosters.
